No purchase is necessary to enter a Tomboly Competition.

Free Postal Entry

Every Tomboly Competition may be entered without payment using the Free Postal Entry Route described below.

Each valid Free Postal Entry represents one Competition Entry. Valid Free Postal Entries and paid online Entries:

  • are subject to the same per-person Entry limit;
  • are included in the same final Entry list;
  • are included in the same Draw;
  • are treated equally by the Draw system; and
  • have exactly the same chance of winning.

Eligibility

You may submit a Free Postal Entry only if you:

  • are aged 18 or over;
  • are legally resident in the United Kingdom;
  • are physically located in the United Kingdom when entering;
  • have created a verified Tomboly account; and
  • meet the eligibility requirements in the Tomboly Terms and Conditions.

The personal details included with your Postal Entry must match the information registered to your Tomboly account.

How to Enter by Post

You may write your own note or use the Tomboly Free Postal Entry Form Template available below.

Your entry must be sent by ordinary first-class or second-class post. Entries delivered by hand, courier, recorded delivery or special delivery will not be accepted.

Required Information

Your handwritten or clearly printed entry must include:

  • your full name;
  • the email address registered to your Tomboly account;
  • your UK residential address;
  • your date of birth confirming that you are aged 18 or over;
  • the Competition ID or exact title of the Competition you wish to enter;
  • your answer to the Competition Question displayed on the relevant Competition page;
  • the following acceptance statement:
“I confirm that I am aged 18 or over, that the information provided is accurate, and that I have read and accept the Tomboly Terms and Conditions and the relevant Competition Details.”
  • your signature; and
  • the date.

An entry that is incomplete, inaccurate, unsigned, illegible or contains an incorrect or missing answer to the Competition Question will not be accepted.

One Entry per Envelope

Only one Free Postal Entry may be submitted in each envelope.

Each valid handwritten or printed entry represents one Competition Entry.

You may submit multiple Free Postal Entries for the same Competition, provided that:

  • each entry is posted separately in its own envelope;
  • every entry contains all required information;
  • each entry is signed and dated; and
  • the total number of your paid and Free Postal Entries does not exceed the per-person limit displayed on the Competition page.

Multiple entries submitted in the same envelope will be treated as one Entry only.

Entry Limits and Equal Treatment

Free Postal Entries are treated exactly the same as paid online Entries.

The same per-person Entry limit applies across both Entry routes combined.

For example, if a Competition has a maximum limit of 100 Entries per person and you already hold 80 paid Entries, you may submit no more than 20 additional valid Free Postal Entries.

A Free Postal Entry is not given a greater or lower chance of winning because it was submitted without payment.

There is no conversion of postage value into additional Entries. One valid Postal Entry equals one Competition Entry.

Deadline

Your Postal Entry must be physically received, verified and capable of being allocated before the earlier of:

  • the advertised Closing Date and time; or
  • the time at which all available Entries in the Competition have been allocated.

Entries received after the Competition has closed or sold out will not be included in the Draw.

Proof of posting is not proof of receipt or acceptance.

Tomboly is not responsible for Postal Entries that are delayed, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible or received after Entries have closed.

Please allow sufficient time for postal delivery.

Processing and Confirmation

Postal Entries are processed regularly, normally each business day.

To process your entry, Tomboly will:

  • confirm that your Tomboly account exists;
  • compare the details on your entry with your account details;
  • verify your eligibility;
  • check your answer to the Competition Question;
  • check the applicable per-person Entry limit;
  • confirm that Entries remain available; and
  • allocate an available Entry number.

Once accepted, the Entry will appear in your Tomboly account or be confirmed by email.

No administration or processing fee is charged for a Free Postal Entry.
